A New Years resolution for 2010, continue to archive and preserve the hundreds of 35 mm negatives from our ‘film vault’. I spent the entire day yesterday, sorting through dozens of boxes. I was absolutely blown away with my findings. This is one of the 2 areas of the film storage, in which I have not been able to get into for over a year. After I broke the surface, unstacking several prints, I came across an absolute treasure of a finding. An entire row of 35 mm out takes from “TIGRESSES” with Vanessa Del Rio, “INSIDE SEKA”, “PEOPLE”, with Jamie Gillis and Serena, “THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS”, a Jonas Middleton classic, and at least 2 dozen others. This is an amazing discovery as we had no idea that this ever existed. All of these out takes, were cut from the film by the film makers and editors, and never made it into the motion pictures. I am told by one of the original DISTRIBPIX editors, Billy Sarno,who is the son of legendary sexploitation and 1980′s in house XXX director Joseph Sarno, that these are chock full of some amazing stuff, like never before seen behind the scenes material, deleted scenes, and even on camera/on set interviews. For the Evart Enterprise productions, like “INSIDE SEKA” , Billy assisited his father, with much of the editing, as well as worked side by side on the set and behind the scenes.
All of this stuff is will be making it’s way to the lab next week, as it is vital to finally transfer these out takes. They will serve as very valuable additions to our PLATINUM ELITE COLLECTIONS.
ALSO, located 2 pallets of 35 mm soft core(COOL Versions)of some of the greatest films of all time. Literally, over 25 different versions of our XXX films, that were not edited to be soft, but shot soft-core as well. These were very important back in the late 70′s and 80′s, as there were areas and territories, where the hard core features could not be shown. Also for broadcast deals, many of the great directors and producers of the golden age, knew how important it was to have legitimate soft versions, of their films. These soft versions will be making their way to the film lab, and will be transferred, little by little, and they will be released as soft versions, mainly as a bonus disc, on future PLATINUM ELITE COLLECTIONS. For example, our next release”BLONDE AMBITION”, which is by far our greatest package thus far, will include the soft core version of the Amero Brother’s classic, as well as the original Hard core version.
Also found for Blonde Ambition, were 62 original chromes from the set. AMAZING!!!! shots of Suzy Mandel, Wade Nichols, Jamie Gillis and the rest of the cast. They are amazing quality and will all be used to illustrate our liner note book that has been written by our adult film historian, Benson Hurst. They will also be added to the DVD, as never before seen slides. Eventually, all of our assets will be used to create the most amazing on-line museum, that will virtually house all of our assets, from slides, to posters, to sell sheets, to copyright certificates, as well as original contracts, actor releases, music contracts, cancelled checks, you name it!!!!!!!! There is no way that we can give this stuff away for free, but our intention will be to run the virtual museum, like a paysite. A nominal monthly fee, to have unlimited access to the DISTRIBPIX archives. But in the meantime, each PLATINUM ELITE COLLECTION, is sort of a mini-shrine to each one of our stellar classics!!!!!
