INSIDE LITTLE ORAL ANNIE WAS TRANSFERRED LAST WEEK, USING AN HD TELECINE….IT LOOKS AMAZING. WE USED THE ORIGINAL 35MM CAMERA NEGATIVE AND THE PICTURE QUALITY IS INCREDIBLE. WE ARE NOT SURE IF THIS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON BLU-RAY, BUT IT WILL BE ON VOD, ASAP.

SINCE LITTLE ORAL ANNIE IS OUR BEST ALL TIME SELLING DVD, WE FIGURED WE WOULD SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TO TRY AN HD TRANSFER. IT IS SO CLEAN AND CRISP, THE SHOT OF 42ND STREET AT THE BEGINNING IS SO CLEAR THAT YOU COULD READ THE STREET SIGNS, THEATER MARQUIS AND LICENSE PLATES,  AT ONE POINT I WAS EVEN ABLE TO SEE THE  GRAIN IN THE STREET FROM THE GRAVEL……IT IS THAT CLEAR!!!!

We are proud to update that we have finally settled into a relationship with a very highly experienced film buff. With an amazing lab, that from the outside looks like a run down farmhouse, but on the inside is an entirely different story. His facility is a state of the art film lab, with every possible piece of film equipment imaginable. There must be 10 million dollars in equipment, and that is no joke. First of all he has 6 standard telecine machines on-line and working. 4 are set up for 35 mmm , 1 is set up for 8mm and the other is an HD telecine, This guy has been doing this for over 50 years and he can take apart and rebuild all of his machines, blindfolded. He is also a decorated electrical engineer and has an amazing collection of vintage tv’s, radios, and jukeboxes, all which have been restored. They have a crew of about 6 full time employees, we have been welcomed with open arms. I was personally involved with the first few transfers and now I send my business partner, and a graduate from NYU film school, to conduct the transfer and assist the colorist. So far we have done over 12 transfers, all are 35 negatives. Last week we completed 2 of our gems( “The Erotic Memoirs of a Male Chauvenist Pig” a XXX feature by director Ray Hoersch and “LUST WEEKEND”the 1976 sexploitation film by famed director Ron Sullivan), both look great and will finally silence all of the bootlegged copies that have been circulating for several years. by inferior bootlegging type companies.

The Erotic Memoirs of a Male Chauvenist Pig release will be accompanied by bonus footage, particularly an interview with director Ray Hoersch. Lust Weekend will be part of a Ron Sullivan series, and we are not sure if it will be a single DVD or part of a set. One thing for sure, is that it will be ten times better than the  VHS-DVD-R versions that SWV were releasing of the Distribpix titles. That is our goal for the Distribpix films, to set the record straight about quality.  These films deserve the royal treatment. Many of the “bootlegging” type companies are just pumping out XXX films from what they think is the public domain.
