WANDA WHIPS WALLSTREET T-SHIRTS

Posted in VIDEO-X-PIX with tags , , , , on October 25, 2010 by distribpix

I was just told by a friend of mine that these might be a hot commodity. Well, we only made a dozen of them, maybe more as samples and they have all but disappeared. There is one left. It is a MEDIUM and I told my friend that I would give it to him,as he is very good to me.  But we can print more of them, we have several techniques and shirts that we can choose from, but we think that some of the art files that we have from these films are amazing and are totally retro looking. I mean, I can see these at Spencers or any other kool T-shirt shop, etc.

We would take the logo of our company off of it and focus on the designs….we have toyed with this for a while and have T-shirts for Blonde Goddess and Maraschino Cherry, as well. We can do it with different films, but they are so retro and hip, that no one would even know that they were pornos, unless they were “in”. The point is that there is some great art!!

Would you wear a T-shirt with this design on it??

WOW, this is so kool, if you live near LA, you should come out to see this awesome and legendary classic, shot by Larry Revene. Brought to you by Midnight Grind /Video-X-Pix. This is going to be a great night, a midnight showing of one of porn’s greatest tales of Wall Street domination, by a woman, and not just any woman, Veronica Hart. Amazingly, Veronica will be attending the 12 o clock midnight showing. This is a great film, well shot, with vintage NYC landmarks, as well as memorable appearances by Ron Jeremy, Jamie Gillis and of course Veronica Hart. This is a perfect example of what a Chuck Vincent film is all about, good acting, good sex and some great comedy.

There are also rumored to be several others who might swing by and make a cameo appearance. I am flying 3ooo miles out to LA to attend, so if you are near LA, come and show your support, I mean what else are you doing on FRIDAY Nov 5th at 11:59 pm OR midnight!!!

I would love to meet the fans of these great classics, so please come and join us, it should be a great time!! I truly hope to see you there.

Here are pictures of some original ad mats used to create the posters and sell sheets, I thought this would be a nice follow up to that post. Enjoy!!

This film will be transferred and restored, as we have all of the original elements!

‘ELI’ – May 5, 1994- October 9 , 2010

ELI- 6 weeks old, June 1994

ELI ( 6 WEEKS OLD) IN THE PICTURE ABOVE. HE WAS BORN IN MISSOURI AND WAS THE RUNT OF THE LITTER, I BOUGHT HIM FROM A FARM , NEAR THE OZARKS, WHILE I WAS LIVING IN KANSAS FOR THE SUMMER OF 94. HE HAS BEEN WITH US EVER SINCE. ELI WAS GRITTY AND SNAPPY, BUT WAS A GREAT LOVER AND COMPANION. MOST OF US THAT KNEW HIM, WERE AWARE OF HIS MOODS. HE BECAME A PART OF OUR EXTENDED FAMILY, AND LIVED AN EXCITING LIFE, AND VISITED MANY PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. HE LIVED IN NJ, NY, FLA, NORTH CAROLINA, CONN, AND KANSAS.

SINCE WE MOVED ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, ELI HAS BEEN JUST SORT OF LIVING OUT HIS LIFE AND WE WERE ALL HAPPY TO SEE HIM EVERYDAY, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS JUST LAYING AROUND, HE STILL ATE WELL, DRANK A LOT OF WATER, AND HAD HIS DIAPER CHANGED ALL DAY LONG. THAT WAS THE PLAN, AS LONG AS HE WAS NOT IN PAIN.
THIS PAST WEEK, MY WIFE AND I KNEW THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. IT IS NOT HARD TO TELL, ELI STOPPED EATING, STOPPED DRINKING AND WITHIN JUST A FEW DAYS, LOST 1/3 OF HIS BODY WEIGHT, ABOUT 10 POUNDS. HIS SPINE WAS PROTRUDING AND HE WAS TOTALLY MALNOURISHED/DEHYDRATED. OF COURSE, I BROUGHT HIM RIGHT OVER TO THE VET, WHERE THEY KNOW HIM WELL. THEY SIMPLY CONFIRMED WHAT WAS HAPPENING. I LEFT THINKING WE WOULD SPEND THE REST OF THE WEEKEND TOGETHER AND GET TO LOVE HIM, BUT SOON AFTER WE RETURNED FROM THE VET, ELI BEGAN TO WALK IN CIRCLES AND BECAME EXTREMELY DISORIENTED. WITHIN MINUTES, HE WAS LAYING DOWN AND HIS HEART BEGAN TO STOP BEATING, HE WAS SLIGHTLY FOAMING AND WE KNEW IT WAS TIME, HE WAS TELLING US. MY BUDDY, RUSHED OVER HERE AND WE TOOK HIM 15 MINUTES AWAY TO RED BANK ANIMAL HOSPITAL. IT WAS 9 PM AND THEY WERE READY FOR US, I SPENT 5 MINUTES WITH HIM ALONE AND THEY CAME IN AND ADMINISTERED THE MEDICATION THAT WOULD PUT HIM TO SLEEP. IT WAS LITERALLY 3 SECONDS AND HE WAS GONE….IT WAS SO PEACEFUL, I WEEPED OVER HIM FOR ANOTHER 5 MINUTES, AND WAS SO GLAD THAT HE WAS NO LONGER STRUGGLING TO BREATHE, HE WAS GONE AND IT WAS TIME. IT WAS PERFECT, THE WAY IN WHICH HE LIVED AND DIED.
WE BROUGHT OUR OWN PET COFFIN, THE VET TECHS WRAPPED HIM IN MY BLANKET AND PLACED HIM INTO THE CASKET, WE DROVE HIM HOME, FURTHER DRESSED THE CASKET, GAVE HIM A FEW MORE KISSES AND THEN WE SHUT THE LID. WE PROCEEDED TO THE BACK PART OF OUR PROPERTY WHERE, EALIER IN THE DAY, I HAD THE LANDSCAPERS DIG A 4 FT DEEP HOLE. I GOT IN THE HOLE AND MY BUDDY HANDED ME THE COFFIN AND GENTLY LAID HIM TO REST. WE FILLED THE HOLE WITH DIRT AND LIT 2 CANDLES, THEY BURNED THROUGH THE NIGHT AND THE NIGHT WAS CLEAR, WITH STARS. NOW HE LAYS OUTSIDE UNDER A HUGE MAPLE TREE AND NEXT TO A POND AND WATERFALL. HIS GRAVE IS MARKED BY 2 PIECES OF SLATE, THAT ARE FLUSH WITH THE GROUND.
WHAT A LIFE!!

FROM THE VAULT: the collection that keeps on giving

Posted in DISTRIBPIX with tags , , , , , on October 15, 2010 by distribpix

The archiving has not stopped and it has become so enjoyable…….. every film tin, every box, every slide….I am finding something new everyday and it is awesome. This week, I had to attack a pallet of original art work that dated back around 30-40 years…it was referred to as junk by some, but I refused to throw anything away, I got a tone of crap from some people, but in the end, HOLY SHIT……..this pallet has everything for anyone who can appreciate the artwork of some of the greatest films from the golden age of porn. There are hundreds of original ad mats, huge hand crafted story boards, original oil paintings,( all one of a kind)!!!!! I am absolutely blown away, and would have never expected that this stuff ever existed. I am sure that some of you guys would love this stuff, especially the artists. I will have better photos soon, this is all so new!

The pallet was packed to the gills and it weighed about 2000 pounds, 4 ft x 4ft stack of paper material……-foam core, cardboard, photos, canvas, story boards. It had a very thick layer of black shrink wrap around the pallet to keep things in place during our move. It was around for about 2 weeks and I could no longer hold out on it. I knew what was on the pallet, but was in no way prepared for what we found. I am going to attach some pictures that I took with my phone and I will upload more every week. We have so many original items in our collection besides the films, including original camera equipment, the original theatrical 16 mm projectors, the original Sam Lake moviolas (that Joe and Billy Sarno worked on throughout the 80′s), an entire double glass case of  original splicing equipment, endless files, art boards, posters, sell sheets, etc. Much of my free time is spent sorting, organizing, cleaning and restoring,  and then wrapping everything in plastic, to prepare for proper storage and archiving. I even built a custom cart for the entire pallet. Enjoy the pics, more to come!!

Here are some great and important historical finds from the DISTRIBPIX archives:

Timothy Snarr of AEBN, recently interviewed Steven Morowitz of Video-X-Pix about the upcoming exclusive release of Inside Little Oral Annie in HD. He put together a great little interview. It is long, but entertaining and somewhat educational and insightful. If you have the time, please check out the link below.

FROM THE VAULT-SOME ORIGINAL XXX THEATER FLAGS

Posted in Current News, VIDEO-X-PIX with tags , , , , , , on October 2, 2010 by distribpix

For the past 5 years we have been slowly moving our archives from various locations in order to bring them all together. Since July we have moved 6 truckloads of “golden age elements”, out of NYC, Queens and NJ. We transported the remaining 12 pallets of original elements that remained in our NYC location, this past Monday. The only material that is still in storage are theatrical prints. The majority of the material from this last move was OCN trims and out takes, lots of sound tapes,M/E, Mag track, hundreds of trailers, radio spots, 6 crates of miscellaneous 16 mm X rated reels, and assorted ephemera, as well as some very kool mainstream material. It has been so overwhelming, and the cleaning of these old boxes, some which have been collecting dust for 30 plus years, is nasty. It is long, hard work , with lots of sneezing from the dust, etc. But in the end it is all worth it. We have saved an archive from being destroyed and separated. The work we have done over the summer has truly brought all of the elements of this 40 year legacy, into one space……and it is amazing. With all that said, I found something today that I thought was certainly worth sharing, as this stuff does not come along everyday……I was getting ready to call it quits for the day, after killing myself all week to get this stuff put away and cleaned, as space is a premium, and it is hard to work with pallets towering around you, Just as I was ready to remove the shrink wrap from the last pallet, I saw a large cardboard box that was marked MATURE FLAGS with red marker. I stopped what I was doing and anxiously pulled the box from the pallet. Off the top of my head, I figured it was a flag that used to hang off the exterior of the MATURE PICTURES BUILDING in NYC………Right??? Well, I had to confirm my thoughts and I dove right in. I used my razor like a surgeon and very cautiously sliced the packing tape that held together the bloated box, as to not damage the cloth inside. At first it just looked like a huge tarp was thrown in a box, but after closer inspection, I realized that I had discovered a real piece of Times Square….. I was so very surprised and excited to make the discovery of 3 original theatrical banner flags, that were actually used! They originally belonged to Sam Lake, as he was a huge theatrical distributor, back in the day. Needless to say, in the early 80′s, Distribpix acquired the entire Sam Lake Enterprises collection and everything was saved, nothing was ever thrown away. Lots of stuff that one might never use, but it is all worth preserving. Enjoy!

The first flag is Radley Metzger’s NAKED CAME THE STRANGER, it measures approximately 8 feet x 10 feet. I felt the immediate urge to temporarily mount it to the ceiling of our warehouse, to see how it looked, as well as to let it air out.

The second flag is from Armond Weston’s, “Expose Me Lovely”. It measures about the same and it is also temporarily hanging.

The third is  from Claude Mulot’s Pussy Talk, the cabinet is in the way, but you can get the idea!!

I will take some better shots in the future. Have a great day.
