ANTHOLOGY FILM ARCHIVES : THE FILMS OF JOSEPH SARNO
Joseph Sarno was one of the greatest film makers of all time. As previously mentioned on this blog we are planning to release a special DVD edition of several of Joe’s early sexploitation films, all transferred from the original film elements. ‘Nude in Charcoal’ and ‘The Bed and How to Make It’ are 2 films that we are providing to the Anthology for this great tribute. This is an amazing opportunity to see these great Sarno classics, as well as many others, in a true theater, the way they were meant to be seen. If you are in NYC, and you are a Sarno fan, you should seriously consider attending, one or several of the screenings.
ANTHOLOGY FILM ARCHIVES is having a tribute to the late and great film maker, Joe Sarno. They are located in NYC and the festival is scheduled for the end of October, please check out their website:

Any update on when the Distribpix 1960′s Sexploitation dvds will start being released? How about a list of all the planned titles? Recession or no recession… I want these films! ALL of them! All the Sarnos and all the rest! Now! (The long wait has been torture…)
Anyone else feel this way?

Sure I would be the first to be happy to see them release immediatly, but when nothing sell because of the recession and the piracy I can understand the companies. Sure it isn’t fun as a collector point of view, but there are no point for a company to spend thousands of dollar just to collect hundreds of dollar.

I too would love to see these Sarno pics on DVD. I also understand the limited market. Do you know if the rights are available for any of the movies? If it is affordable, I might be interested in buying rights and making the disks myself. It seems if the companies have movies they consider not worth converting to DVD, then they have a resource that is worthless to them. Let me know what you think. I have produced movies and sold them before(documentaries).

Nothing we have in our collecton is considered worhtless, as a matter of fact, the DISTRIBPIX collection is an archive, amassing over 3000 square feet of historical elements, that boasts an enormous value as far as money and historical importance.
Rights are not availabe for DVD distribution.
A release schedule will follow shortly.
